I’m in awe of abstract artists who with a few movements of their wrist and a few splashes of paint can create emotionally charged images in minutes. Perhaps it’s because my own style of painting is a little too constrained and over-thought-out and I just don’t have it in me to splatter paint on a canvas.
I’ve never come across Daragh’s work before, but after seeing this video of him in action I’ll be keeping my eye out for his work. He manages to capture the essence of the human body using energetic strokes that appear to be almost thoughtless. Simply stunning work….
