Earth Mother watched over him , overwhelmed with helplessness

A$380.00

The last white, male rhino died in 2018. Every year the list of endangered species grows. I'm overwhelmed by sadness as well as inadequateness, because I don't know what I can do or what we can do as a collective, to reverse this tragedy.

It feels like it's out of control, and I often imagine, that if there was a higher being, the creator who designed and breathed life into all the incredible creatures on this planet , maybe just maybe they could pause the damage, and sprinkle some magic that would filter into the brains of every single human, in order for us all to be enlightened with a sense of collaboration to make things better, to respect all living creatures equally and to slow down the economic greed which is causing so much silent destruction.

This artwork is part of a series called 'Quirky tales' which explores surreal scenarios between animals and other creatures that inhabit the earth. Sometimes it's flora, sometimes bugs, sometimes feathered or fury creatures or the mysterious beings that live under the sea.
